Enhanced curriculum opportunities
At The Downs CEP School, we believe in enriching the National Curriculum with activities that encourage children to develop real life skills, both in and out of the classroom.
Using our learning and Christian values, we are developing enhanced curriculum opportunities that will help children to thrive within our school and build skills that they can take forward in their lives.
We have partnered with Woodpecker Court to provide outdoor learning experiences to some of our children.
They have been able to learn life long skills that they can take into the future.
I believe in me!
Mrs Underdown is working with a group of children to develop their understanding of who they are and their role in our community. This group is a real celebration of what it means to be a child and the excitement of what their future holds!
RSPB Big Bird Watch at Walmer Castle
A group of children were invited to develop their science skills by joining the RSPB at their Big Bird Watch at Walmer Castle.
They learned about the different species of bird, their eating habits and habitats.
